WHAT YOU GET with SCHA?
SIMCOE COUNTY HOCKEY ACADEMY DEVELOPMENT PLAN
- On-ice practices will focus on individual skills and team play.
- The program will run from late August to the end of March.
- Up to 84 hours of on-ice training will be provided, including individual skill development, team concepts, and game application.
- Participants will have up to 50 hours of off-ice training.
- Program will have guest instructors throughout the season
- Program will have guest speakers including scouts, agents and College Hockey Inc. throughout the season
- Small group programming will include sessions with a registered power skating instructor.
- Small group programming will feature sessions with recognized individual skills specialists.
- Age group-specific gameplay and skill application will be emphasized.
- Program will use video sessions with team and individuals.
- Program provides for a winter break over the holidays and during school exams.
- Team run special events and team building.
- Program provides access to school tutor throughout the season.
- Games will primarily be scheduled on weekends.
- Participants will attend up to 6 NAPHL Weekend Showcases and up to 3 USPHL or NEFPHL Weekend Showcases.
- Matches will be played against prep schools primarily from Eastern Canada (Windsor-Halifax) and USA Prep Schools.
- Various league scouts will attend these events.
- Each player will receive individual goal setting and scouting reports with guidance from the SCHA GM.

FEES AND EXPECTED EXPENSES:
New Players – $ 5,600
Returning Players – $ 5,400
- 34-38 games including exhibition
- 84 hours on-ice training
- 50 hours off-ice training
AP fee for U14. Any 2009 player who would like practice time and games with the older team must pay an additional $250 including HST.
New Players – $ 5,800
Returning Players – $ 5,500
- 40-46 games including exhibition
- 76 hours on-ice training
- 48 hours off-ice training
All players are required to contribute $300 in sponsorship to the team budget. We will include a sponsorship page on our website for all contributing sponsors.
